A clearer path forward.
Answers to common questions about getting started, publishing your work and representing your university.
Getting started
Which account should I choose?
Join Community for free professional networking. Apply for Author access to use the publishing workspace. Register a dedicated University account to represent an institution and manage its showcase and publishing.
Is Community free?
Community registration is free. Verify your email before signing in. Author publishing plans, services and limits are separate from Community membership.
Why do I need to verify my email?
Email verification confirms that you can receive account messages and verification codes. Use the code sent during registration and request a new code if the old one expires.
Publishing & editorial review
When can I use the Author workspace?
Author access follows the existing separate profile approval process. You can continue using Community while an Author application is pending.
How do I submit a manuscript?
Sign in to your approved publishing workspace and open Manuscripts & submissions. Choose the appropriate submission type, complete its information and upload the required document within your assigned limits.
Where can I see editorial decisions or revision requests?
Open the submission in your publishing workspace. Its status, editorial updates and revision workflow remain available there. Confidential editorial notes are not shown on public pages.
When will my work appear publicly?
Only work released through the publication workflow is listed publicly. Drafts, pending submissions, rejected works and confidential files are not part of public discovery.
Why is my thesis or research paper not in public search?
A submission marked in an editorial workflow is not automatically a public document. Research discovery currently includes already-published research and thesis-category articles. Private manuscript files remain protected.
Universities
How is university access approved?
Register a University account and verify its email. An administrator reviews the application and assigns publishing, storage and showcase limits.
Which university sections are public?
An approved university public profile can show approved accreditation, authors, faculty, alumni, artwork and gallery entries. New or edited records require the applicable review before public display.
Can a University account also apply as an Author?
University accounts use their dedicated publishing workspace and can access Community according to existing permissions. They do not automatically gain or apply for separate Author access.
